Boot camp for the future of North American gaming

The inaugural iGaming North America 2011 Spring Conference is set to take place from May 2 to 4 at the Monte Carlo Casino and Resort in Las Vegas.

Thursday 24th February 2011

Leading online gaming consultancy firm BolaVerde Media Group has announced that it is partnering with Lewis & Roca and The Innovation Group to launch the inaugural iGaming North America 2011 Spring Conference in May. Scheduled to take place from May 2 to 4 at the Monte Carlo Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, the iGaming North America 2011 Spring Conference will allow attendees to get an up-close look at the future of gaming with curriculum designed as a ‘boot camp’ for new entrants into the North American iGaming market. The new event features a ‘Road To Legalisation’ theme and has been designed to introduce the land-based gaming businesses of North America to the $30 billion global iGaming industry. The iGaming North America 2011 Spring Conference is set to provide prospective participants in the regulated US and Canadian Internet gaming markets with education and training in order to assist them from getting from regulatory approvals to launch while maintaining a firm handle on their capital, staffing, marketing and operational needs. “The discussion has evolved beyond the speculative tone we've seen in recent years and there’s a high demand for practical guidance as businesses enter uncharted territory,” said Mark Balestra, Director for BolaVerde. “Certainly the programme will cover political and regulatory issues but the primary focus will be on 'how-to' rather than 'what-if.” BolaVerde revealed that the line-up of presenters and panellists at the event will include professional poker player Howard Lederer as well as executives from some of the world’s leading online and offline gambling businesses including Caesars Entertainment Corporation, GTECH Corporation, Betfair and WMS Gaming Incorporated. “A window is opening for North America's licensed operators, existing iGaming operators and media and entertainment ventures expanding into new markets,” said Sue Schneider, a veteran of the iGaming industry and a principal for eGaming Brokerage. “For all of these businesses, this event will present a much needed forum for learning and sharing ideas as well as the region's first marketplace for gambling’s most promising sector.” BolaVerde stated that sponsors for its iGaming North America 2011 Spring Conference will include Continent 8, Betfair/TVG, Dickinson Wright and Blank Rome with early-bird rates available for those who register before March 3. “With the surge in activity at both the state/provincial as well as Federal levels, the time is right for all of the operators, consultants, vendors and suppliers focused on the North American audience to come together for this important informational event,” said Anthony Cabot, a prominent Las Vegas-based gaming attorney.
