Trio to stop accepting new American players

SportsBook.com, PlayersOnly.com and SuperBook.com have announced that they will cease permitting new US-based customers from May 1.

Thursday 28th April 2011

The recent indictments in America of individuals associated with PokerStars.com, FullTiltPoker.com and AbsolutePoker.com have apparently claimed three more victims after SportsBook.com, PlayersOnly.com and SuperBook.com revealed that they are to cease accepting US-based players. According to numerous reports out this week, all three of the online casinos and sportsbooks have announced that they are to stop accepting new customers based in the United States from May 1 while existing clients are set to be unaffected. “Both SportsBook.com and PlayersOnly.com are ceasing US player acceptance as of May 1,” read a statement issued to affiliates on behalf of PlayersOnly.com and SportsBook.com earlier this week. “Existing players with accounts opened prior to May 1 will still be able to gamble, deposit and withdraw from our sites but no new accounts will be allowed.”
