More revelations from

Jeff Ifrah has established an account on the 2+2 discussion forums in order to answer questions from those owed money by the beleaguered online poker site.

Tuesday 30th August 2011

The attorney acting on behalf of troubled online poker site has established an account on the popular 2+2 discussion forums in order to better communicate with former players. Jeff Ifrah has so far used the service to reveal that Ray Bitar is still acting as Chief Executive Officer for while also declaring that the site is working hard to reimburse those owed money. “Since started the process of speaking with outside investors, that has been its entire focus 24/7,” read a statement posted by Ifrah on 2+2. “It has made crystal clear to every investor that the US players and European players must be paid.” Last week saw the operator behind, Pocket Kings Limited, state that it had ‘concluded the exclusivity period of negotiations’ with a group of unnamed individuals that were looking at investing in the site that was shut down following April’s ‘Black Friday’ indictments. Regarding whether the site could pay back all of the former players it owes money to without the help of new backers, Ifrah stated that it would be ‘very difficult for the company to meet all obligations without the help of an investor’. “Future statements will make clear why this is so,” read the post from Ifrah. “I am not aware of a satisfactory deal that has been offered and rejected. The company statement will address this in more detail. “The company was unable to say anything for the past eight weeks due to a confidentiality agreement. Now it is ready and willing to make up for that silence. The idea of separately timed statements is to make sure the statement is clear and concise instead of overloaded with information. I hope that once the statements are out this will become more evident. I realise it is somewhat cold comfort right now and apologise for that.”
