Sportsbook.com sponsors three teams for the Big Stakes Match Play Golf competition

Sportsbook.com, the presenting sponsor at the inaugural Big Stakes Match Play Golf competition (www.bigstakesgolf.com), is entering three teams in the event. At a cost of $300,000, the online sportsbook and casino is banking on its players bringing home the winnings from the largest prize in the history of golf, $3 million for the winning team.

Big Stakes will have a field of 64 teams made up of players from around the world that are not currently a professional on any sanctioned tour.

The 2005 Big Stakes Match Play Golf Competition will be held at the CasaBlanca Resort & Casino in Mesquite, Nevada from May 9-15, 2005. The tournament is offering a purse of $6.4 million, with $3 million going to the winning team.
