Online gambling software developer Net Entertainment AB used last week’s International Casino Exhibition (ICE) 2012 in London to unveil its latest branded five-reel and 20-payline slot title, Scarface.
The new Scarface slot is themed on the 1983 film from director Brian De Palma and follows the story of Tony Montana’s rise and fall in gangland Miami. It comes complete with Nudge Spins and Free Spins features, which are activated when a player gets a trio of stacked wild symbols over three different reels, along with a bonus game based on the movie’s ‘say hello to my little friend’ shootout sequence.
Scarface marks the second time Net Entertainment has created an online slot based around a film from Universal Pictures with the Stockholm-based developer stating that the May release of the Frankenstein game had been ‘well received’ by sector and has since gone on to become ‘extremely popular’.
“Scarface is a hugely popular film and we’re delighted to be able to present such an iconic title to the gaming community,” said Bjorn Krantz, Acting President and Chief Executive Officer for Net Entertainment.
“It’s been a joy to see the concept develop and we thank Universal Pictures for its cooperation in bringing the game to life. As with Frankenstein, our previous branded game, we aimed to use a world-renowned title as a platform on which to build a slot game that pushes the boundaries of innovation and excitement value.
“We’re extremely hopeful that Scarface will support our partners’ agenda for growth and our investment in the brand is yet further proof of our commitment to provide portfolio excellence in everything we do.”
