Perform expands South American portfolio

British digital sports media specialist will now feature over 900 more games following agreement with Full Play rights agency.

Tuesday 28th February 2012

British digital sports media specialist Perform Group Limited has announced that its services will now feature over 900 additional soccer matches from South America after it finalised a deal with rights agency Full Play Group SA. London-based Perform revealed that the three and a half year deal will see it add action from leading leagues in Bolivia, Ecuador, Uruguay, Paraguay and Peru while also providing it with access to other American sports rights managed by Full Play. “We are delighted to build on our relationship with Full Play,” said Simon Denyer, Joint Chief Executive Officer for Perform. “The Full Play team continue to develop a very strong business and content portfolio that we believe will work extremely well across our digital products and services.” Perform stated that the deal will see content from Full Play feature on all of its digital products and services on a worldwide basis excluding Latin America and selected other markets and ‘complements’ its existing relationship with Full Play for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches from the CONMEBOL region. This latest agreement takes the total number of annual soccer matches from the Americas for which Perform has access to over 1,800 and includes Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Copa Do Brasil games in addition to action from the Brazilian, Chilean and Mexican leagues, Major League Soccer and all CONCACAF international friendlies and 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches as well as the Gillette Brazil World Tour. “We are also delighted to enhance our relationship with Perform, who we view as the world's leading sports digital media experts,” said Mariano Jinkis, Chief Executive Officer for Full Play “Furthermore, we are honoured to exploit the league rights of our South American federation partner leagues into new territories and via new mediums. Full Play is continually seeking ways to help its federation partners commercially exploit their rights and gain maximum exposure and this deal with Perform assists in this strategy.”
