Worldlink Sports signs Club Website partnership

Deal will see real-time mobile device data provider Worldlink Group’s sports and gaming division supply odds to over 39,000 team websites.

Monday 30th July 2012

Football club and league website provider Club Website Limited has signed an agreement that will see Worldlink Sport Limited serve as its official betting and gaming partner from Wednesday. Worldlink Sport is the sports and gaming division of real-time mobile device data provider Worldlink Group while Club Website provides domains for over 39,000 amateur and semi-professional teams located across the UK. London-based property and football entrepreneur Andrew Ellis and his Across The Line firm recently signed a deal to acquire a 51 percent controlling stake in Worldlink Sport for up to 2.5 million in exchange for 15 percent of any future revenues. Now Reigate-based Worldlink Sport is to provide dedicated desktop and mobile applications in partnership with its licensed betting brokerage partner so that Club Website users may access odds from more than 60 individual bookmakers. “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Worldlink Sport as one of our key partners,” said Richard Stenson from Club Website. “It has impressed us not only with its product but with its commitment to generating revenues for grassroots football and we are looking forward to building a successful relationship with it. This further demonstrates the appeal of our business model and rapidly growing user base to blue-chip companies.” Under the agreement, Worldlink Sport stated that it will be required to make ‘certain upfront payments’ to Club Website. “I am thrilled to be announcing this ground-breaking partnership with Club Website,” said Neil Riches from Worldlink Sport. “We are looking forward to providing users of Club Website not only an enhanced betting experience but a percentage of revenues will ultimately go back to grassroots football, which is a fundamental part of our business model and offering to sports teams and fans.”
