Bally Technologies goes big in Illinois

Online and land-based casino games and solutions firm has signed deals to provide over 4,000 video gaming terminals to operators in the Midwestern state.

Friday 28th September 2012

Fresh from signing a deal earlier this week to supply its iGaming platform to land-based casino operator American Casino and Entertainment Properties (ACEP) Interactive LLC, gambling solutions firm Bally Technologies Incorporated has finalised agreements that will see provide more than 4,000 video gaming terminals to sites in Illinois. The units, which are expected to be deployed over the next 24 months, will include a variety of Alpha 2 Pro V22/22 and Pro V32 titles offering games such as Blazing 7s and Quick Hit. In addition, more than 3,000 video gaming terminals throughout the Midwestern state are to be connected to its Bally MultiConnect enterprise-wide centralised accounting and management system. “The level of market acceptance of Bally’s video gaming terminals product line in Illinois is a clear indicator of the momentum we are experiencing within the video gaming terminal sector worldwide,” said John Connelly, Business Development Vice-President for Bally Technologies. “Bally Technologies continues to make calculated investments within the video lottery terminal industry and we are confident this will result in continued incremental growth in the future.” Bally declared that two of the contracts will see it provide J&J Ventures Gaming LLC and Grand River Jackpot LLC with video gaming terminals and its Bally MultiConnect solution for use at more than 1,500 locations throughout the state. “We’re excited to partner with one of the industry leaders in video gaming terminals and gaming systems solutions,” said Gary Hoyer, Chief Executive Officer for Grand River Jackpot. “Bally Technologies’ 80-year history speaks for itself and through our previous working relationship we knew it would be the perfect fit in Illinois.”
