The 2003 WSOP of poker has finally been released on DVD this week by ESPN and DVD Marketing Inc, in time for Christmas. The tournament, which saw Internet amateur Chris Moneymaker shock the poker world and take home the 2.5 million first prize, is credited by some for kick starting the poker boom and is a must have for poker fans everywhere.
The double-disc DVD, features seven hours of un-cut, commercial-free action in full screen digital video. Hosted by ESPN's Lon McEachern and sports columnist Norman Chad it includes interviews with key players, strategy tips, chapter points at the key rounds, and highlights of ESPN's Cold Pizza and Pardon The Interruption tournament coverage. Notable stars featured in the footage include the legendary Doyle Brunson (1977, 1978 WSOP Champion), stone-cold Johnny Chan (1987, 1988 WSOP Champion), Sam Farha, Phil Hellmuth (1989 WSOP Champion), the showman Scotty Nguyen (1998 WSOP Champion) and Annie Duke.
