Bodog Poker Network to launch Anonymous Poker Series

Online poker network’s year-long online and land-based qualifying campaign is set to culminate with a $100,000 grand final in Manila in January of 2014.

Monday 24th December 2012

To celebrate the creation of its bespoke Asian network, the Bodog Poker Network has announced that 2013 will see it run a year-long poker tournament series set to culminate with a $100,000 grand final in Manila. Christened the Anonymous Poker Series, this special chain of events will consist of live and online qualifying games designed to showcase the Bodog Poker Network’s product offering before concluding in January of 2014 in the Philippines. The Bodog Poker Network revealed that its Anonymous Poker Series will offer operators the ability to qualify for the final via live industry conference events while recreational players can win seats online and at land-based games to be held in Europe and Asia. All grand final qualifiers are to be flown to Manila in 2014 to take part alongside specially selected ‘poker heroes’. “This series will help highlight exactly how and why we feel our network is the best and safest place for both recreational poker players and operators alike,” said Jonas Odman, Managing Director for the Bodog Poker Network. “Operators who service sportsbettors and casino players do not want their customers leaking money to non-depositing poker pros who are using sophisticated software in order to win. Our anonymous tables take this unfairness out of the equation creating a much better experience for the leisure player. “This model has been specifically designed to appeal to the Asian market where the trust factor is the single most important reason for choosing one operator over another. In the Asian market, we believe our product, in the same way live dealer casinos are viewed above random number generator operators, will be the preferred option in poker.” The Bodog Poker Network stated that January will also see its newest business-to-business partners join up while full details of qualifying events for its Anonymous Poker Series are to be announced next year alongside the criteria to be classed as a 2013 ‘poker hero’.
