Sportsbook Sees Heightened Pre-Presidential Race Activity

All bets are on over three years away from the election

Monday 1st August 2005

Although the 2008 presidential race is still three years and four months away, wagering activity is significant on both the candidate and the projected political parties according to Robert Spencer Anderson, Chief Marketing Officer of London’s Publicly Traded Sportsbook and Casino, www.52bet.com.

“The interest in the various presidential hopefuls is beginning to catch up with the record numbers we experienced just before the last election and we’re over three years from November 2nd 2008.

“Bill Frist is now 30-1, Colin Powell is 35-1, Barack Obama is 40-1, Bill O'Reilly is 750-1, Condoleezza Rice is 18-1, Hillary Clinton is 4-1, John Kerry is 50-1, Mitt Romney is 40-1, Michael Moore is 5,000-1, Rudy Giuliani is 10-1, Al Gore is 75-1, Bill Clinton is 250-1, Bob Kerrey is 30-1, Dick Cheney is 100-1, and Donald Trump is 2,500-1, are among a crowded field of other hopefuls and wishful candidates.”

Anderson added that they have had a tremendous amount of play on the winning party offering even money pay outs with wagering on the Republican Party slightly ahead of wagers placed on the democrats.

Anderson added, “We could likely see two women candidates for the first time, Hillary Clinton and Condoleezza Rice. A considerable amount of money will be wagered, won and lost on the 2008 election.”
