BetVictor premieres 5050Sports titles

Online casino players can now enjoy a range of ‘yes or no’ football, cricket, boxing and darts betting games featuring officially licensed archived video footage.

Wednesday 25th September 2013

BetVictor has announced that fans of football, cricket, boxing and darts games can now enjoy a range of ‘yes or no’ betting games featuring officially licensed archived video clips following its partnership with 5050Sports. The first operator to partner with 5050Sports, BetVictor revealed that the new titles, which feature former top sportsmen Michael Owen, Michael Vaughan, Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton and Simon ‘The Wizard’ Whitlock, have already proved to be a success after going straight into its top 20. The new 5050Sports games are based on the ‘red or black’ and ‘heads or tails’ wagering principle and give competitors a straight ‘yes or no’ choice as to whether an incident will occur. For example, ‘does the player score the penalty?’, ‘does he hit a 180?’ or ‘will it be a boundary?’. Once the selection has been made always at odds of 5/6 with BetVictor, a short video clip relating to the question is shown before the bet outcome is determined within five seconds. Fixed stakes start at one pound and increase to 100 while high-rollers can play in a VIP edition for up to 1,000 at a time. It is also possible to place lower-denomination wagers through the Bet Change feature offering custom wagers relating to an individual customer’s account. “We’ve assembled a who’s who of sporting stars and they are far more than just ambassadors, they are fully immersed and interactive,” said Stuart Carr from 5050Sports. “5050Sports is quick to understand, play and reward. It takes gaming back to basics and is ideal for today’s ‘snacking’ generation of online and mobile players.” The quartet of sporting greats are joined in the games by former ITV and Channel 5 commentator Jim Rosenthal. 5050Sports stated that it has plans to unveil additional titles soon covering tennis, snooker, greyhound and motorsports. “I’m delighted to be involved with 5050Sports [as] it is great fun to play and a game that everyone can relate to,” said past Ashes-winning England captain Vaughan, who appears in 5050Sports Cricket. Multiple world title holder Hatton and top Australian darts professional Whitlock serve as the faces for the 5050Sports Boxing and 5050Sports PDC Darts titles while 2010 Open champion Darren Clarke has already agreed a deal to front a golf version of the game. “I love the 5050Sports concept and the fact that it has so much real sports footage,” said former Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United and Manchester United hero Owen. “It really is incredibly easy to understand and I am sure it will be a big hit with punters.”
