NFL Eagles Won’t be Soaring According to Sportbook.com
Sportsbook.com's Latest Super Bowl Odds
Wednesday 24th August 2005
Sportsbook.com, the online casino and sportsbook has posted its latest set of odds for the new season’s Super Bowl. In just a few short months former favourites the Eagles have slumped from 6-1 to a generous 9-1. New favourites, Indianapolis, have seen their own odds shorten to 6-1.
The Minnesota Vikings have also had encouragement from the bookmaker, despite losing the long serving Randy Moss, with odds coming in to 14-1. Moss doesn’t seem to be inspiring the punters as his new team Oakland have been pushed out to 38-1 since his arrival.
“Randy Moss is a great player, but the current betting sentiment seems to suggest that fans don't believe he can lead a team to victory. As for the Eagles, it just looks like Owens might be too much of a distraction and fewer fans are taking a chance on them,” said Peter Childs, from Sportsbook.com. “On the other hand, we've seen some bets coming in on the Dolphins now that Ricky Williams is back in the fold. We've improved their odds to 70-1 from 100-1.”
