3rd Annual PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Event to be held in January
Tuesday 29th November 2005
Some of the biggest names in poker will be trying to start their new year in the best way possible with a victory in PokerStars’ World Poker Tour Event at the Atlantis Casino Resort from January 5-11. The PCA event has attracted to its field the last three poker world champions – Chris Moneymaker (2003), Greg Raymer (2004) and Australian Joe Hachem (2005) – along with last year’s PCA winner, John Gale.
The six-day poker event offers multiple daily tournaments, cash games, satellites, single table tournaments, and the crown jewel of the tournament - the PCA championship. One of the world’s most lucrative tournaments, the PCA has a buy-in to the championship event of $8,000 ($7,800 plus a $200 entry fee), with the total prize pool estimated to be $5 million.
For the third consecutive year, the PCA will be broadcast as part of the ever-popular World Poker Tour and 2005 World Series of Poker champion, Joe Hachem, is pumped up about his being a part of the PCA. 'The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is going to be a blast,' said Joe, 'I hope poker players everywhere will join me at Atlantis. This is my first opportunity to attend the PCA and I look forward to playing in one of the most exciting events in poker.'
