Tuesday December 13th: pokerzone’s flagship show has been short-listed as one of the year’s best poker television programmes in the upcoming UK Gambling Awards. The winner of this prestigious award will be announced in a lavish awards ceremony at The Banqueting House in Westminster on Tuesday January 24th 2006.
Poker Night Live is the first ever programme to integrate live internet action with television broadcast. Expert presenters and guests commentate as viewers play live on the channel from the comfort of their own homes.
The show has grown rapidly in popularity since pokerzone’s launch in April and is now watched by around 200,000 unique viewers every week. The show features a variety of cash games, single table tournaments and the recently launched multi-table tournaments with the capability to simultaneously track play across 100s of tables and 1000s of players.
Pokerzone’s Directors Jim Sibcy and Sam Orams launched an interactive gaming channel in 2003 which took in excess of £1million worth of bets per month. With that success behind them and in response to demand in the market place, pokerzone was born and it has quickly become the leading channel in the industry.
