New heads-up innovation sends poker players into war

PokerStars.com, have launched their latest heads-up innovation – ‘The EPT Battleship Poker Championship’.
Players of the new game will be offered the opportunity to play heads up matches both online and live, with contestants playing face-to-face, laptop-to-laptop in the style of the well known board game ‘Battleship’.
The two-day tournament will take place during the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Grand final in Monte Carlo next week. Some of the best poker players and stars from around the world will be in attendance for the climax of the richest poker tour in Europe.
There are 32 seats available for the two-day tournament which starts at 4pm on March 9. The finals and semi finals are to be projected live for everyone to tune in to the action. You can also follow the match on PokerStars.com by clicking the Battleship event from the main lobby. There will also be running commentary from guest commentator, Lee Jones, PokerStars.com Poker Room Manager.
