Thursday 25th May 2006
Bluff Magazine is teaming up with MansionPoker to bring Bubble Insurance back for the 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event.
The gaming giants have also promised that Bubble Insurance will be even larger than last year.
In 2005, Bluff Magazine introduced Bubble Insurance at the WSOP Main Event, and had over 350 people participate by wearing a Bubble Insurance shirt.
Bubble Insurance works by guaranteeing a player's buy-in to next years WSOP Main Event if they are unlucky enough to bust out within 5 spots of the money.
This year the insurance has been extended to the top six finishers wearing a Bubble Insurance shirt who will also win a spot to face off against each other in a package valued at $8,000. The winner will take home $25,000.
The top 6 bubble insurance finishers will also join 210 other participants in the Poker Dome Challenge. They will play in one of 36 televised qualifiers. The winner of each qualifier will win $25,000, and a seat in one of the six televised semi finals. Winners of the semi-finals will receive a $50,000 cash prize and a seat at the televised final, which will be broadcast live on March 17, 2007.
