New charity poker organisation to stage event to raise money for National Greyhound Association
Friday 13th August 2004
Poker Book Gaming, the new charity poker tournament organiser, has announced that the first of many events will be held to raise money for the US National Greyhound Association.
The Company is in the process of establishing the first charitable poker site, www.worldpokercharitytour.com, which will be used for fundraising events. The idea is that charities will sign up to run their own online poker tournaments through the Fantasy Poker Club (FPC). The charities will participate in the monies raised from our charity tournaments. FPC will work directly with the charities in organizing, running and helping secure sponsorship prizes for these online poker tournaments.
Jack E. Owens, CEO, said: 'We are really excited to announce the first charity fundraising event at PokerBook Gaming. The National Greyhound Foundation will be the first of many charity events held by PokerBook Gaming. We believe that this is the fun way to make a difference in the World,' said Owens.
