GoldenPalace.com has continued its trend of buying unusual items as part of their marketing campaign. This time, the item of fancy is a piece of sheet metal that cost them $1500. What makes this piece of metal special is the image emblazoned on it, that of Christ and the Virgin Mary.
Hardy's Hardware employee, Thomas Haley was shocked to discover what appeared to be the image of Christ and, when the sheet is turned upside-down, the image of the nativity scene complete with the Virgin Mary as well.
Haley decided to sell the item on eBay and the online casino snapped it up. Haley said, 'Just seeing it brightens people's day.'
GoldenPalace.com has created an entire marketing campaign around buying unusual eBay items, several with religious overtones. Items like the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Holy Pierogi, and Divine Pretzel have become bona-fide pieces of American pop-culture.
