PartyPoker.net sponsors three generations of family in WSOP
Monday 31st July 2006
The World Series of Poker has witnessed another first, as it welcomed three generations of the same family to its Main Event tables. Victor Goulding, 91; his son Rick, 52, and grandson Brenton, 22, have captured the imagination of players at this year’s WSOP, so much so that they have been sponsored by online poker room PartyPoker.net.
A spokesman for PartyPoker.net, Warren Lush said that, “PartyPoker.net is proud to sponsor a family who remind us all that poker is a game of fun and skill for people of all ages.'
WSOP fans may recognize senior Goulding statesman Victor from last year, when during an ESPN broadcast, he was given a ‘time out’ for cursing. At 91, he is the oldest player in the field, but asserts that his love for poker is as strong as ever. 'I'm very passionate about my poker. I can't wait to play again. And, I hope to be here next year, too!'
