The sponsor will be rewarded with a cash-filled Mystery Poker Box
Friday 30th March 2007
Poker pro Scott Neuman is offering one lucky poker fan the chance to sponsor him to the 2007 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in July 2007.
At the event, Scott Neuman will buy one empty box, called the Poker Mystery Box – the same one seen on Ebay and RounderAuction.com – and will attempt to fill the box with anywhere from $10,000 to $7,500,000 dollars at the event or 50% of anything he wins at the event after taxes. The sponsor will leave the tournament with contents of the Mystery Box.
“My sponsors can watch me play in real time and in addition, when I place in an event and send out a poker mystery box, I can just imagine what they are thinking as they open the boxes,” said Neuman. “It's that element of surprise that makes the Poker Mystery Box that much more fun.”
As part of the deal, Neuman will wear clothing bearing the sponsoring company’s logo. In addition, the company will have the opportunity to place a promotional product on the table as a card marker.
'I normally pay for my own events,” explained Neuman, “but I've had companies approach me in the past with offers that are hard to turn down.”
Scott will also send out press releases to over 200,000 media outlets promoting the sponsoring company.
