The French capital has been announced for the inauguration of the National Poker League (NPL), promising to be the largest poker tournament in European history.
The Paris Open will kick off the 2007 Global Tour of the NPL on May 13th at the Cercle Gaillon, which boasts views of the Arc de Triomphe.
An estimate of the prize pool stands at 3,5000 euros and the event will be globally televised.
The Paris Open will run from May 13th until the 22nd and expects to see many British players taking licence of the first-class French dinners at the Queenie Club and an exclusive 'players only' lounge.
The Queenie Club also plays host to a charity party sponsored by Louis Vuitton, Dior and Patron Tequila on May 21st.
Poker fans can pre-register on the NPL site or directly at Cercle Gaillon. Organisers are advising early sign-up due to limited seating.
