After the body of poker pro William Gustafik was found stabbed to death, police have arrested his wife, Jill Rockcastle on suspicion of murder.
The San Roman player was discovered on the floor of the couple's luxury Las Vegas condominium, Panorama Towers, at around 7:30pm on Friday and a knife was found in the rubbish area of the complex.
Las Vegas police said in a statement that Ms Rockcastle was being held by police in San Luis Obispo, after she was found collapsed in a motel room in the area on Monday.
Police suspect that Gustafik's death had resulted from a domestic argument between the married couple.
Ironically, it seems that Gustafik, a chiropractor by profession, was dedicated to his family. On his online poker profile, the 44-year-old wrote: "I plan to go from cracking backs to cracking the stakes of the best pro. Nothing can stop me. When not at the table or online playing, my family is my dedication."
Gustafik became a professional player at the 2005 World Series of Poker and netted winnings of $165,597 in his career.
