Everest Poker has announced the second of its annual European Cup tournaments and this time double the amount of qualifiers can compete for twice the prize money of 2006.
Last year 100 European players were allowed into the finals to try their hand at winning 50,000 euros, but in 2007 Everest has stipulated that 200 players can qualify and the jackpot on offer totals 100,000 euros.
"The success of last year's event blew us away," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager. "We wanted to make sure the 2007 event was bigger and better in every way possible. The best way to do this was by doubling both the poker tournament size and the prize money offered."
From May 1st, European poker addicts can play in the Everest Poker European Cup, either live or online and in August finalists will be invited to a live Texas Holdem event to decide who will claim the jackpot.
Venues in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Austria and Portugal will host the live events.
