E-book by Amarillo Slim is well worth the investment, but the website is priceless

Amarillo Slim’s latest poker book has received some good reviews. One would expect excellence from a member of Binion’s Casino hall of fame. The list, which only includes those who have played poker well against top competition for high stakes over a long period of time, has quite a few names from outside the poker world, as well as some unexpected omissions from those within it.
The book can only be downloaded at an introductory price, but only for another twenty days at http://amarilloslim.org. However, it is well worth visiting for the site alone. While Phil Helmuth blogs about putting family first, and poker is doing its best to respectable, the site offers extraordinary tales that will still give grandmothers something to ‘tut’ about.
Along with winning $2m off porn king Larry Flint, Slim has played poker with presidents (Johnson and Nixon) and cocaine barons – when they accidentally kidnapped him.
The book is $11.95, but some of the best poker advice in the world is there for free.
