Ryan Perrilloux has been cut from the Louisiana State University football team indefinitely after trying to get access to a casino by using fake ID.
The 20-year-old has upset his coach after trying to get into the Hollywood casino in Baton Rouge using his older brother's driving licence.
Baton Rouge police issued the player with a 'misrepresentation to gain access' charge after being called by casino security guards at the weekend, whereupon Perriloux's coach hauled his quarterback into the office for a little team talk.
LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said that Perrilloux, who has been struggling all season to retain a team place, could return to the team at coach Les Miles' discretion.
"The coach is going to monitor his situation," Bonnette said. "He could return, but that’s certainly not definite."
Although Perrilloux was not arrested he may have to save up some of his pocket money to pay a possible fine in the region of $250.
