Jonathan Little has been crowned champion of the first event of the sixth annual World Poker Tour, walking away with $1,066,295 in winnings plus a $25,000 entry into next year's championship.
Although it was the first time Little has won the tournament, he has been one to watch for a while, earning over half a million dollars in poker prizes in less than a year and a half.
His most impressive finish before this latest win was when he netted over $300,000 for coming fifth at the PokerStars World Poker Tour Caribbean Adventure.
Although he was not chip leader at the beginning of play at the final table, as Cory Carroll and Little reached the head's up stage the two players had 3,125,000 and 3,050,000 chip totals respectively.
Yet Little won through in the end, relegating Carroll to second place, although he earned $561,966 - so not bad for a day's poker play.
