Birmingham to host Sky Poker's first offline tourney

Sky Poker's first live poker tournament will take place at Birmingham's Broadway Casino, according to the Gambling Press.
On June 23rd, 100 top Sky Poker online players, who have been exclusively invited to the tournament, will travel to the Midlands to meet their fellow Sky Poker players and compete for a variety of generous prizes.
These players will have previously only met their poker rivals online and through set-top Sky boxes.
Sky will film the entire event and celebrities and poker experts, including Norman Pace and Ed Giddens, will compere at the games and offer tips to players.
After registering at 1pm on the Saturday, those invited to compete will be given a series of tutorial seminars by expert presenters then three hours later the true poker action will start as players take to the tables at 4pm.
