Cometa Wireless Gaming, a Sheffield (UK) based mobile phone gaming and communications firm, has announced that it has achieved a total of £1 million from its initial round of public investment.
Founded in 2004 the company is now well on it way to making a name for itself in the mobile gaming market thanks to the backing of its principal investor Mfusion, a successful mobile gambling company, and a variety of other investors.
Cometa Wireless products are based on Arcadia, new patented technology developed by Cometa's founders. Arcadia facilitates faster communication between a mobile phone and the company’s servers allowing mobile casino style games to be played securely in real-time, whilst maintaining the look and high performance of a regular slot machine.
Rob Anderson, Cometa’s CEO said, ‘We are delighted to be working with Mfusion. Their commercial experience and knowledge of the gaming and mobile phone industries will be crucial in our next phase of growth.’
