Long standing Slotland.com member ‘Judybug41’ appeals for help for dying grandson

A long serving Slotland.com member has made an emotional appeal for help as her grandson fights a losing battle for his life, against the rare condition of Porencephaly.
The heartbroken grandmother known as ‘Judybug41’, has appealed for help with her grandson’s imminent funeral and for donations to the hospital that is currently helping Jonathan Rounsville fight for his life. Jonathan was born with the rare condition of Porencephaly, in which fluid filled cavities develop on the surface of the brain, which is also complicated by critical digestive and respiratory problems.
“The doctors have told us to be prepared for a catastrophic event,” said the worried grandmother. ”This poor little fellow has so many things wrong... It's heartbreaking.”
“Right now we need to raise money for a nice funeral. But we also want to make a donation to the newborn intensive care unit at the hospital and to say ‘thank you’ to all the wonderful nurses that are helping my son and his wife through this.”
Slotland.com has called on its members to support the grief stricken family in any way they can, and has also made a contribution of its own.
“When Judy wrote to me for help I was so deeply moved, as any parent or grandparent would be,' said Hannah Morante of Slotland.com. “Judy's been a part of the Slotland.com community for many years. Now we're calling on that community to get involved if they can.”
