Intertops posts New England Patriots as early favourites to win Super Bowl XLII

Online gaming site Intertops.com has announced that it has become the first online sportsbook to open lines on the 2007 NFL season.
The company, which was the first to take an online wager, has the New England Patriots (+400) as early favourites to win Super Bowl XLII in Arizona next February, ahead of the Indianapolis colts at +650, and the San Diego Chargers at +750.
“We’ve had our eye on the Patriots during the off-season,” said Intertops.com manager Michael Weiss. “They were already strong and they’ve done more to improve the team than any other franchise. We think they’ll go all the way this season.”
The Patriots have signed several strong players recently, including athletic Baltimore linebacker Adalius Thomas, and free agents Donte' Stallworth (Philadelphia) and Kelley Washington (Cincinnati).
