Gambling compensation bandwagon gathers new recruit

According to reports, Costa Rica is set to join Antigua, Japan, India, and the EU in their bid to clamber back the online gambling losses that they feel have been a direct impact of the US’s introduction of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).
The compensation bid is particularly crucial for the Central American country as it has been hit hard by the anti-gambling legislation. Costa Rica services more online gambling companies than any other nation in the world.
Major Costa Rican employers such as BetOnSports, which was forced to shed over 1,000 employees post-UIGEA, Bodog.com and BetUS.com, have had to cut down their workforce significantly in the wake of the Act.
