Executive Legal Update – US Legislation, Are You at Risk?

Chairman quits role in order to pursue other business interests without fear of arrest

Tuesday 26th September 2006

September 26, 2006 (London, UK) – iGaming Business Magazine and Lyceum Events, in conjunction with Gambit, is to host an evening event on Thursday 28th September looking at the risks posed by US legislation on the iGaming industry.

The recent legal events in the United States affect the entire iGaming industry. This evening event will consist of a presentation explaining State and Federal indictments, and provide an overview of anti-gaming legislation on a State-by-State basis.

Following that, there will be an open forum to ask questions from a team of legal experts that will cover topics including UK and EU Extradition and the specifics of the recent arrests of David Carruthers of BetOnSports, Peter Dicks of Sportingbet, Manfred Bodner and Norbert Teufelberger of Bwin.

The legal team will then be taking questions on topics including UK and European extradition law, along with details on how to find out if you are marked for arrest on arrival in the United States or European Union.

Michael Caselli, Editor iGaming Business said “This topic is currently on all iGaming Executives lips. It’s important to know your rights and gain a greater understanding of why these recent arrests have been made.”

Taking place at the Cass Business School in London on September 28, registration is from 6.30pm, with a limited capacity of 90 guests. Details of the itinerary and how to register can be found at http://www.lyceummedia.com/events/legalupdate1.html.
