Everest Poker Sponsors New Pro

Italian Poker Pro Cristiano Blanco has struck a sponsorship deal with Everest Poker

Tuesday 8th May 2007

Everest Poker has announced that it will be sponsoring Cristiano Blanco in European tournaments, as well as offering customers the opportunity to play online poker against the pro and get his advice. Tips and tricks will be available via Blanco’s blog, available at available at http://www.everestpokerblog.com/cristianoblanco/

'Cristiano's star is rising and Everest Poker's very happy to offer him the chance to shine,' said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager. 'He's a player who's just starting to see his skill really paying off at the poker table.'

Tournaments in San Remo, St Vincent, Campioni and Venice will see Blanco playing and promoting Everest Poker. Naturally he will also be playing in the Italian Championship. Outside of Europe, Blanco will enter the World Series of Poker Side Event, held on 30th of June. However, promotion of online poker sites is banned at this year’s World Series of Poker, which has introduced strict garment rules. This is in response to prohibitive legislation which came into force last year. The WSOP 2006 saw players covering logos and turning t-shirts inside out as organisers fell afoul of US authorities.
