New Buffalo based casino launches electronic poker room

Leading American casino Four Winds Casino Resort of New Buffalo, Michigan, has launched the world’s first poker room to feature all electric tables.
The room sports fifteen PokerPro ten-seat tables and four heads-up tables presented by North Carolina-based software provider PokerTek.
“PokerTek is pleased to be working with an operator whose dedication to making this room a success is only rivalled by their desire to exceed player’s expectations by offering such a broad range of game offerings, tournament schedules and major tournament satellite events,” said Lou White, Chief Executive Officer of PokerTek.
Four Winds is approximately 80 miles to the east of Chicago on the southern shores of Lake Michigan and will offer limit and no-limit Texas hold 'em cash games, limit and pot-limit Omaha high and high-low cash games and single and multi-table tournaments with a variety of buy-ins.
Managed by Lakes Entertainment Inc for the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, the casino said that the advantages of the tables are to limit dealer error and increase the number of hands seen per hour by 50 per cent.
