24hPoker Wager Works Both Ways

With B2B and business to player divisions the online poker room can specialise

Tuesday 28th August 2007

While many businesses look to consolidate, 24hPoker is making a business move straight out of a blackjack game; splitting the aces. Following its launch in 2001, 24h poker has grown into one of the world’s largest gaming platforms, operating via subsidiaries such as Danepoker.com as well as having its own online poker platform, 24hPoker.com. The move is also likely to see the expansion of online poker offerings with the incorporation of Martin’s Poker, and Staffpoker.com.

“This separation of business activities enables 24hPoker Holding AB to focus on strengthening its position as a business-to-business gaming supplier, which makes the offer clearer for both customers and the financial market,” said Peter Åström, CEO of 24hPoker Holding AB. “Simultaneously, 24hPoker.com’s potential can be fully developed, which will show in the results going forward.”

WagerWorks players will be able to access 24hPoker and poker players will have access to popular games such as Monopoly, Wheel of Fortune, and Cluedo.

WagerWorks’ president Paul Mathews, called the deal an “extremely exciting collaboration for WagerWorks” which “demonstrates that by using the WagerWorks rgs system, other operators can integrate our games onto existing platforms”.

Gaming operations will be run from Malta, with 24hPoker Holding AB as the major shareholder, which means that while it will no longer manages everything, it is effectively still the parent company with a final say over major decisions.
