Intertops.com to send one lucky punter to America for Super Bowl XLII in Arizona
Thursday 30th August 2007
One of the few online sportsbooks still open to US bettors, Intertops.com, will be sending one lucky punter to Arizona for Super Bowl XLII as part of a special promotion.
Super Bowl XLII will take place in Phoenix on February 3 and Intertops.com’s prize includes luxury accommodation, airfare for two and two tickets to the biggest game of the year. Every wager made on a regular season NFL game gives entry into the end-of-the-season random draw promotion.
In addition, to celebrate the start of America’s NFL and university football season this weekend, the Austrian company is welcoming new customers with a $20 free bet in addition to giving a 20 per cent deposit bonus to new and existing customers.
While most sportsbooks exited the US, Intertops.com said that it continues to accept deposits and is welcoming an increasing number of American players.
“Ever since we posted our NFL lines several weeks ago, we’ve welcomed many football fans deserted by sportsbooks that have left the American market,” said Michael Weiss of Intertops.com.
The company said that Boston’s New England Patriots NFL team are the favourites to win the Super Bowl closely followed by the Indianapolis Colts while the University Of Southern California are leading the predictions for the Bowl Championship Series (BCS), the university version of the professional game.
The long-established gambling site offers a wide variety of NFL propositions including spread winner, over/under totals, straight up bets, first half and second half side, spread winner and totals wagers. It is also offering its Perfect Season wager for anyone who believes that the Indianapolis Colts NFL team can top its recent 14-win season.
“Since the Colts came so close a couple of years ago, we’re seeing a lot of interest in our Perfect Season wager,” said Weiss.
“Only one team has ever won every regular season game, the Miami Dolphins in 1972, and lots of people think the Colt’s might just pull off such a miracle this year but it’s still a long shot so betting on a Perfect Season could really pay off for dedicated Colts fans.”
