Gambling Companies Step up Fraud Protection

Eight new companies join iovation fraud network

Friday 28th September 2007

Eight online gambling companies have joined leading online fraud management and authentication service iovation, the company announced.

The service, already prescribed to by gaming giants including Sportsbook.com, the world's largest sports book and casino, helps companies stop collusion and prevents chargeback fraud, account takeover and deposit fraud.

Simon H of BetOnline.com, another iovation customer, said: ‘Fraudsters are clever at hiding behind different identities. Without iovation's ability to uniquely recognize a device and associate previous fraudulent behavior with it, we had a tough time pinpointing the fraudsters and shutting them down. Now we can block the devices and keep them out.’

Iovation technology protects over 250 million transactions for customers every year by allowing companies to electronically share fraud evidence, thereby preventing future scams.
