UK Online Poker Players – Top Dogs Announced

If you come across stevie444, you might want to back out…

Wednesday 31st October 2007

The UK Online Poker Rankings do pretty much what you would expect them to: they rank UK players who play, well, online. Like the many ranking lists that are out there for the live circuit, the top ten players on the MTT scene in the United Kingdom are recipients of prestige and a hell of a table image. So, who should we be avoiding in those $10 MTTs then?

The list has seen some movers and shakers since it was last unveiled in August. The first noticeable difference is that JP Kelly – aka ‘mavfish’ has dropped out of the top ten, whilst an unknown Scotsman with the alias ‘xxCelticFCxx’ has joined the ranks.

Other players who were in the August list are still there or thereabouts. Himclip85 has moved down one spot to fifth, that despite cashing a couple of big results in the Sunday Million events on Poker Stars. Stephen ‘allinstevie’ Devlin is down to third as well after a couple of quiet months.

The player we should now avoid now is apparently Stevie444, who is actually an eighteen-year old from Kent. Currently 33rd in the world rankings, consistency has gotten Stephen Chidwick to top spot, with two seconds in major events this past month or two. Should you see this teenager register in your event, it might be time to go for a slightly softer field…
