In Australia, dominating gambling company Tabcorp Holdings have revealed their plans to replace the management at their two land based casino venues. The company owns two casinos in the state of Queensland, both of which are currently managed by BI Gaming on a contract basis. The new plan will see managers from within the Tabcorp company now taking on the management role of the two casinos.
The changes have not been based on any issues arising from the management of BI Gaming, but rather are looking towards improving on their efforts. It is the belief of the management executive of Tabcorp that taking on the role themselves will be a move towards achieving best practice for the running of the venues.
Chief Executive of Tabcorp David Banks explained: 'We've got four casino properties - we believe that harnessing the skill sets of those four properties and working together will give us a best practice position, so we're seeking always to make our properties better and we think that four groups of management working in sync is going to do a pretty damn good job of that.'
