Probability Demonstrates Blackjack On iPhone

British mobile company develops gambling capability for Apple technology

London-listed mobile technology company Probability announced that fans of blackjack can now play the game on an Apple iPhone following its successful demonstration late last week.

The company stated that this is the first online casino game to have been built and demonstrated in a real money play mode on an iPhone in the UK and that its version has all the features of the real game including insurance, split and double down options. It said that bets take place using its secure gambling servers in Alderney using the iPhone's mobile or WiFi connections.

Being an iPhone application, the game has all the benefits of the device's unique touch-driven interface by tapping virtual buttons on the screen. Tapping twice zooms players into seeing the cards close up while they can drag and scroll the whole game experience with a fingertip.

Unfortunately, Apple does not allow third-party developers to install applications on the iPhone at present but Probability's developers stated that they have been able to re-create a full blackjack experience in the unit's Safari web browser working from technical information provided by Apple.

'This really is a world first and an important technological step for us,” said Charles Cohen, Chief Executive Officer for Probability.

“The iPhone experience, I believe, is a sign of things to come for all mobile phones.'

Probability stated that it had over 200,000 customers over every UK network signed up for casino and bingo gambling with interested parties able to view the new iPhone at YouTube.com.
