The fourth edition of Canadian Idol is down to its last two contestants and Eva Avila has been named as the overwhelming favourite for the title at Pinnaclesports.com.
The sports betting site first opened betting on the latest edition of Canadian Idol when the show was narrowed down to 10 finalists in July – and as predicted by the betting the two left standing as the show enter its final week are Eva Avila and Craig Sharpe.
When betting opened Sharpe was a slight favourite, but throughout the series Avila has received glowing accolades from the judges and is now a huge favourite to be voted the next Canadian Idol at 1/3 odds. PinnacleSports.com now lists 16-year-old Newfoundlander Sharpe as a 3/1 underdog gain the recording contract.
Simon Noble of PinnacleSports.com, said, 'We saw support for Eva Avila grow each week during the series as her performances swayed more bettors into believing that she has what it takes to be the next Canadian Idol.'
