Sportev, the leading mobile and broadband sports provider, has teamed up with Betfair to deliver live coverage of the ATP Tour in Acapulco exclusively to the UK customers of the world’s leading betting exchange.
Live coverage of the quarterfinals, semi-finals and final of the tournament will be broadcast from Betfair.com. Sportev will provide the technology. As there are no broadcast deals in place, this will be the only way that viewers in the UK will be able to watch the tournament.
Will Muirhead, Chief Executive, Sportev, says, “We are delighted to have won the contract to provide Betfair with live coverage of this event. The market for the provision of live video to bookmakers is showing strong signs of growth and Sportev is proud to be at the heart of the movement.”
Hugh Taggart of Betfair, says, “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers access to live footage from the tournament. Tennis is one of the most popular sports to bet on in-play and we are keen to build on this deal to offer live coverage of more tennis events in the future.”
