In America, the Gaming Standards Association has appointed Ethan Tower to the role of Protocol Director where he will oversee the continuing development of its system-to-system protocol.
Tower is a 15-year veteran of the gaming industry and has held system development positions with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, GameLogic, Foxwoods Resort Casino, International Game Technology and SyCo Development Corporation. While working with IGT and SyCo, Tower was one of the principal developers of the IGS casino management system and has been the driving force behind the Gaming Standards Association’s XML-based standards for the last five years.
“Ethan has been an integral and invaluable part of the system-to-system team for years and neither Gaming Standards Association or the system-to-system protocol would be where they are today without his constant dedication,” said Peter DeRaedt, President for the Gaming Standards Association.
“Now, as the Gaming Standards Association prepares for the rapidly expanding and highly technical future of gaming, it makes sense to bring Ethan onto the team in a permanent staff capacity and we are thrilled to welcome him.”
