ATE Appoints New Chairman

Roger Withers to head Industry trade show specialists

Tuesday 10th August 2004

ATE, the company behind staging Industry trade shows such as ICE and ATEI has announced the appointment of a new chairman, Roger Withers. Withers, has enjoyed a distinguished career in the international leisure, electronic entertainment, lotteries, betting and gaming sectors and recently served as vice-president of iGGBA (the Interactive Gaming, Gambling and Betting Association).

Withers, 62, who will be taking over the reins from John Bollom, said of his new appointment: “I am delighted to be assuming the chairmanship of ATE at such an important time for the world and UK gambling, casino and betting industries. Not only is the UK at the brink of major change but opportunities are developing all around the world. By providing the very best multi-gambling sector exhibition platform for equipment, ideas and the communication of knowledge, I hope we can continue to help our exhibitors and visitors attain success in their fields.”

ATE’s forthcoming exhibition, The Betting Show, is scheduled to run from 19-20th October at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.
