Get your popcorn ready, the last eight are set for Late Night Poker glory…
Thursday 6th March 2008
The return of Party Poker Late Night Poker has been a reminder of how it all began for the British viewing public. This year’s final table has been set, and it contains a mix of old stalwarts, young prodigies and a little bit of the unknown.
Late Night Poker has already made famous players such as Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott and Simon Trumper, as well as the Hendon Mob, but the final here is already packed with big names. Amongst them is Surindar Sunar, representing old school poker and making his third appearance in the LNP final. Joining him will be Eddy Scharf, another regular face on the European poker scene.
Two of the biggest names on the final table are Brits who have burst onto the scene after the first incarnation of Late Night Poker – Andy Black and Roland De Wolfe. Going into the final, they will be amongst the most feared players on the table, with Black especially being in fine form. Those who like the Irishman should keep your eyes peeled for the next issue of Bluff Europe magazine.
Another who represents a real threat is Ian Frazer. He’s known as being a real specialist in the short-handed format, and has a great record in the big UK TV tournaments.
