Online poker professional Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott has raised over two million dollars after last week’s flotation of his DevlifishPoker.com site on the PLUS market of the London Stock Exchange.
DevilfishPoker.com is a members-only multi-player online poker site now believed to be valued at around $6.4 million with the new funds providing capital for expansion. The site has over 6,000 registered members in the UK and Europe with in excess of 700 players depositing money and playing cash games. Ulliott is one of the world’s top professional players and the site’s largest shareholder with 27.8 percent although he does not sit on the board of directors.
The site was the brainchild of the professional player alongside founding director Kevin Leech, who holds the most shares after Ulliott, and features online gambling industry expert Paul Barnes as its Chief Executive Officer together with Karl Hutson and John Mulcahy as Executive and Non-Executive Directors.
