Daniel Negreanu set for a cameo in the forthcoming ‘X Men Origins: Wolverine’ film

Out of the well-known comic book characters, Wolverine is one of few known to enjoy a game of cards. It has now been announced that his on-screen counterpart will be doing the same in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. According to the Comics2Film website, Hugh Jackman will be playing cards against none other than Daniel Negreanu, who makes a cameo appearance in the film.
News of the Canadian’s cameo followed a report on Toronto radio station ‘The Edge’, where Phil Hellmuth said that he and Daniel had been offered the chance to appear in the film. A poker scene is due to be shot where Wolverine is playing poker before being interrupted by an unknown enemy. Hellmuth wasn’t able to take part due to previous commitments, but Negreanu accepted. Perhaps the Poker Brat was worried he couldn’t dodge adamantium claws.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine explores Wolverine's early days, before joining the X-Men. The film will cover Logan's early life, and his involvement with the mysterious Weapon X program and is due to be released in 2009.
