Harman and her Team Full Tilt compatriots raise $30,000 for animal cruelty charity
Tuesday 18th March 2008
Last week we mentioned there was a glorious chance to play with the pros for a mere $10 on Full Tilt. Jennifer Harman hosted an Animal Lovers charity tournament and more than $30,000 was raised for the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA).
The winner of the event was Jzeeee who outlasted 3,009 players and won just under $2,23. Half of the $10 buy-in was donated to the charity, with the NSPCA gaining a total of $15,000 through tournament entries. Full Tilt Poker then matched that, bringing the total donation to $30,000.
The charity work doesn’t stop there for Jen. She’s already announced another tournament for the same cause, although the next one will be a live tournament out in Vegas. It will be the second live tournament she’s held for the NSPCA, with last year’s edition raising over $130,000 and crowning Kirk Morrison as the champ.
