The proposed poker game between Patrik Antonius and Doyle Brunson could happen in less than two weeks, it has been revealed.
Speaking in his blog, Brunson said he has not conversed with Antonius about the match-up, but that there is a high possibility he could run into him at the Bellagio in April.
The Bellagio is well renowned for its poker room, which is the largest on the Las Vegas strip.
"I'm sure I will be seeing Patrik soon [ ] and we will see if he was serious about his challenge of playing me any game," the Texan said.
"I promise I won't back out if I get to pick the games. If he beats me at that, I'll seriously consider retiring."
Brunson, considered by Bluff magazine to be poker's most influential man, accepted the challenge from Antonius last week, leading to a great deal of excitement among poker fans.
Indeed, the ten-time World Series of Poker bracelet holder claims he has been asked about the match-up numerous times since landing in Ireland, where he is to compete in the Irish Open.
